So as you all know we had a flood in our kitchen back in July. Many of you probably think that it would have been fixed and finished within 3-4 weeks from when it happened. Well, here we are almost 4 months into it and I NEED THIS KITCHEN FINISHED! I have been positive and I have been nice, but I think the truth needs to come out...I CAN'T HANDLE ANOTHER MINUTE OF THIS! All of the supplies had to be special ordered because the building companies are either out of business, or they do not keep supplies in stock any longer. UGH, production after production.
These poor guys HAVE to have the work done by Thursday so that I have one day to get ready for the boys Halloween Birthday Party on Saturday (which I usually get ready for about a week in advance!) So that means rushed work and poor quality. Most people would not notice the fine details that I do and would be happy with the work, but tonight as I was crawling around our new hardwoods, I found very poor quality. Sad, but true I have officially lost it! Stay tuned for birthday pictures and pay attention to the sink area. If you see one, YAHOO, but if there is no sink, please notice me in the straight jacket in the background.
Notice the nice layer of dust on the bathroom towel holder. I thought I removed everything from the rooms-opps! That film of dust has spread all over our house!
We have floors and cabinets! Very nice, but both have a lot of work that needs to be done to them! Notice the floors are not the color I was hoping for. The railings on our stairs could not be stained (unless we wanted to pay more), so I had to pick a color that was close to the railings! I do like the color, but would have liked a little darker.
