December

December was non stop action! Rennen's was in the Christmas pageant at school. The boy who they were planning on being Joseph ended up being sick. The school then asked Rennen to be Joseph. He replied "No thank you!" They then tried to bribe him with candy~ to which he replied "me no love, Chocolate!" They then went to another child. I was not aware of this until after the play when the teachers told me the cute story. After talking to Rennen, he told me "alright, alright, I'll be Joseph next year!" He is so funny, but did a great job! My nieces are also in the same school and were so cute in their dresses! The Nutcracker has been a tradition that my mom and I have gone to see since I was 6. All these years later, the boys have become part of the tradition. We brought them two years ago and they loved it. The Atlanta Ballet does a great boy friendly production. The boys are so handsome when we go and they behave like real gentlemen. I love teaching them how to behave in real life situations. Anyone tired? They were faking!!!
We ran into Newt Gingrich on the street and had to ask for a picture.
Christmas Eve was lots of fun because the boys could not control their excitement. Some great friends of ours went to church with us. Torie (their daughter) and the boys are so sweet together. They love her! We then went to my mom's and had a Delicious meal. We went home and had to do all of our traditions before we went to bed. It is so funny that they boys already know all of these traditions and love them. So special.

Making cookies for Santa.

Sprinkling the magic dust for Santa and Rudolph to see! This year we made a ginger train instead of the house.

Advent Calender. This really helps the boys to understand how many more days!
Kade made Santa at school and we had to glue the cotton (yikes) balls on the numbers. CUTE!Very proud of Santa's cookies!Sweet Dreams, Sleep tight, I love you, Nightie-night!
Santa came!!!
Christmas morning was perfect and the boys ended up very happy with their treasures. We heard Kade at around 6:45 walking back and forth on the walkway and fake coughing~trying to wake Rennen. He finally couldn't handle it any longer and woke up Rennen, who came running in to our room. Kade then came in about 2 minutes later like he just woke up! He was squinting and rubbing his eyes. He then told us that Rennen woke him up! He was so funny and finally told the truth. Kids excitement is so fun! We had dinner at our house. We ate pasta, chicken parm, meatballs, and sausage. We started at 3:30 and the last family members left at 11:15. It had to be one of the most fun and laid back Christmas days ever. We sat and talked and relaxed and just had fun! Luke, Laura, and Torie spent the day with us again, and they were a wonderful addition to our gathering. Fun times.
Rennen asked Santa for an orange bell!!?? He loves it! Saying Grace
