****Not sure what happened to some of the pictures!!! You can still kind of see them though!
I have never been so excited for Halloween and the upcoming holiday's in my life. The season could not have started out better than Halloween...
We started out the season by going to Target, CVS, Walmart, Publix, etc and spending 30 minutes in the Halloween isle pressing every scary button we could find. The boys both got horrible shots and telling them we were going to Target to see the Halloween stuff made them both stop crying. Love it!
I loved the day of going to Rennen's class for his "Noah's Ark' Parade and then party and then going to Kade's class for the same. I love watching them interact with their friends. They are both so cute and SOOOOO good at school. I will be sad to have Kade in real school next year. We have been so thankful to have his preschool and we all love it.
Then the search for a cute pirate costume. I am only going to have a few more years until the boys want the scary costumes, so it was worth the hunt to keep them cute this year. They loved being pirates and even growled every once in a while. Our night consisted of -
"Yo, ho, ho I'm ready to go"
"Ahoy there me hardies"
"Yo, ho, yo, ho a pirates life for me"
and the cutest "trick or treeeeeat" ever!
Really, what is better than ringing doorbells and getting candy???
We started out the night at one of our neighbors houses. They have the smoke machine, a big spider, scary music, most of the scary things we played with at Target, and someone dressed up really scary handing out candy! What could be better. We have a tradition of starting the night at there house and also ending the night there too!
Then Nana, Bobby, Tim, and Liz came over to check out the pirates and to see us off on our real trick or treating. Nana started our pumpkins out right with "fantastic" treat bags. They were really yummy!
This year we decided let the boys drive from house to house and we even decorated their 4 wheeler. They were super cool, and even Daddy admitted it turned out to be a great idea. The boys loved it and the hood served as a perfect cooler for our drinks (Not sure why Fisher Price doesn't advertise the use of the hood as a cooler- they may sell more!!!) To my thankfulness the water from the ice did not malfunction the 4 wheeler- this was a major debate!
We had a great time going from house to house, saw lots of friends, stopped for a moment at the bonfire, but the boys favorite was the house with a black sheet hanging with "blood" all over it. As we walked up we heard the scary music, and saw lots of scary stuff. Then we all jumped when bloody hands threw candy at us from behind the sheet!!!! UGHHHH! The boys LOVED IT!!!! All night they wanted to go back. So cute.
I love it, but hate to say that Rennen is afraid of fire. This is something I really tried to not share with the boys. I am thinking Rennen picked up on my phobia from the Japanese Steak House. I often back away when they light the big fire and this is the only link we can think of. We never talk of fire or have a fire, so I am not sure where else he could have picked this up. It is surprising because I try not to make a big deal of myself at the steak house because it embarrasses me. Funny, but sad!!!
We are so excited for the holiday's to come. I want to decorate so bad, but I have to wait until after our Pirate hunt for Kade's 5th Birthday!!! 5!!!! What????? Kade turns 5 this month!!!???!!! Oh my gosh, prepare yourself for that post!
Favorite from this week-
- "Mommy, you happy?" from Rennen after he and Kade got in trouble for messing up the playroom-big time!!!
- "No, Mommy, I promise...." from Kade when he is in his lawyer mood and is trying to convince me of something.
- Rennen climbing into our bed at or coming to see me while I am getting ready for work at 6:30am. No matter what time that boy goes to bed he is up and ready at 6:20-6:30am. Oh, and yes, he was in our room this morning at 5:30am because of the time change!!!
- "Uh, I sooooo tirsty!" from Rennen at all times of the day for his "cuppy" to be filled. Why is it he wants apple juice and then milk and then apple juice and then milk. Seriously, I have to wash his cup every time he needs a new drink.
- Kade justifying EVERYTHING!!! That boy has got to be a lawyer. He can out talk and talk you into ANYTHING!!! He is so smart and funny!
- Rennen knowing orange and blue! Thank goodness he is actually starting to learn!!!
- Kade's sweet little asthma cough he will have till the spring. For some reason that cough gives me a sweet feeling. He hardly even notices it and is so used to it!
- "Dewicious" Rennen's delicious!
