On January 27th, my Grandma Rose Morreale passed away. She lived 87 years and suffered for a while with bone cancer which traveled all through her. She had a pretty neat life and came straight from Italy on the boat. She was very proud of her family, and I know she was smiling from heaven while she was watching her entire family get together five days in a row to celebrate her.
Funerals are always so bittersweet. Of course it is always so sad to say good bye to ones we love, but at the same, it is wonderful to see family that we do not get to see enough. I had a great time seeing our family. I stayed with my Dad and Lousia, spent a ton of time with my 4 siblings, saw all of my Aunts and Uncles, and ALL of my cousins. I was sad that I had to fly up alone without Scott and the boys. They would have had a great time seeing everyone.
Italian funerals have a lot of food. All we did the whole 5 days was EAT! Pasta, bread, pizza, wings, and more of each.
This is Grandma in July of 2009. This was our last visit. So glad we saw her. She prayed the Rosary over the boys.
As we were leaving my dad came walking in with two loafs of pizza bread and two containers of soup! Love it!!!
As you can see it was a wonderful, but sad trip. I loved seeing all of the family in NY, but I wish my 3 favorite boys (Scott, Kade and Rennen) were in these pictures too! Can't wait to see all of you guys in May at Nick's wedding!

I had my eyebrows "threaded" the other day. Someone told me it didn't hurt so I thought I would give it a try. Let me tell you... it hurt!! My eyes were watering like crazy. You were smart to take care of them yourself!!
