Pictures

Please know that I have a ton of pictures of the fun we have been having this summer, but we have had very little computer time. I just sat down to save the pictures onto my hard drive when I thought I should type a quick note to tell what we have been doing...

SWIMMING-

Every single day we go to our pool! It is amazing and I am so glad we live here. I love the social part of the pool, and now how easy it is. Kade can swim anywhere without any help. He can make it across the pool and diagonal. We know this because he is trying to convince us that he is big enough to go down the BIG slide. Sorry, you have to be able to swim a lap of the pool AND be 48 inches! Poor boy, he wants it so bad!
Rennen can now wear his jacket and jump, dive, and swim anywhere he wants. He loves to jump high and thanks to Jason (a good friend of ours) he now LOVES the blue slide that he stayed away from.
My social scene at the pool is slowly changing. I am moving up in the world and even started getting a chair in the deeper pool. I no longer can sit in a low chair in the water, because these boys want to be in the "deep" pool! The mom's on this side of the pool are very nice and happy because they can now sit in a lounge chair and relax while the kids play. I am at the sitting (which gets very hot) in the lounge chair phase, but not too relaxed because I still feel they NEED me and I am in the water with them often.

ADOPTION DAY!

We also celebrated Kade's Adoption Day. I know some think this should not be celebrated because he has a birthday and I even started to question it myself. Nope, we WILL be celebrating this day for life and here is why...When you adopt, you become a guardian to the baby for 6 months. During those 6 months, you of course know you are the mommy and daddy, but the law says- guardian. During this time you often question what can change and is this real? Then at the 6 month mark, you go to court and the judge and lawyer finalize that you are the new mommy and daddy and you are put on the birth certificate. Big deal right? No, HUGE deal!!! On Kades's adoption day in 2004, I cried from the moment we sat down in court till the moment we got into the car. It was amazing and so real and just a complete dream. Heather (an amazing friend of ours) burned the court hearing onto a DVD so we could watch it and help Kade understand more. He was confused on why I keep thanking him for being MY baby! Anyway, it is an amazing moment and an amazing DVD. Kade's adoption day will forever be celebrated. He and we earned another day to celebrate our blessing and our family.

BIRTHDAY'S

Allison's birthday was celebrated this month too! We had date night to celebrate at Maggiano's. Of course Allison and I thought it would be brilliant to meet early in Buckhead and shop! So fun! I love her!

FATHER'S DAY
Oh, we celebrated father's day with the best daddy! We made him eggs and treated him like a King all day. We grilled out at my parents pool and swam the day away. We are blessed to have him and so proud of the daddy he is.

BASEBALL

We had a great time at the Braves vs. Yankee's game. The boys had fun and enjoyed their first professional game. Bobby called and asked it we wanted tickets and they were the best seats. Behind home plate near the walkway so the boys could stretch their legs. I had tears in my eyes most of the game because we are a family and this is what I dreamed of. It was so fun and Scott was selected to answer a question on the Big scoreboard screen. Josh and I were laughing so hard, but he did win with the phrase "BRINGING THE HEAT!" He won a weekend at a casino in Mississippi and dinner. Very nice and VERY funny!

9 YEARS!!!!
Finally, we celebrated 9 married years! I can not believe how fast time flies and how wonderful all of the ups and downs have been because I have Scott. He is the best husband and daddy. He even hid nine sweet notes and had 9 great presents for me! Man I love him!

The boys sleep really good at night and often fall asleep when they least expect it! So cute! Now we will be popping in and out of town for the next few weeks. We have fun adventures planned and will take lots of pictures.
